Associate, AV Designer (Project Manager)

We are looking for a Consultant and Project Manager to work within our Technology consulting practice. Reporting to the Regional Studio Head, this position will focus on leading needs analysis and technology visioning with key clients, as well as leading our internal consulting teams and supporting our clients during all phases of our projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Good balance of client and project management ensuring a positive relationship between the project team, the firm, and its clients
  • All planning and coordination efforts and interaction with clients, professional services firms, and other trades for assigned projects
  • Risk mitigation and remediation efforts for all aspects of assigned projects
  • Project financial management and profitability responsibilities
  • Workload evaluation, planning, scheduling, and assignments
  • Internal and external meetings, coordination, and communication to ensure project is on track and on time
  • Ensure industry best practices and company standards are used consistently and effectively
  • Participate in building and maintaining company standards by conducting lessons learned sessions, by continuing education, and by participating in R&D for new products
  • Respond to RFIs as required
  • Driving, mentoring, and guiding the project team members for successful milestone achievement
  • Overall project escalation management and resolution
  • Ensure overall quality control checks and processes are in place and followed
  • Support client relationship development and growth
  • Support business development needs and contribute
  • Support with estimating potential project efforts and with quoting such potential projects
  • Support with client interviews for potential new projects
  • Perform post completion client follow up on projects that have been completed 6 months or more for direct end user feedback and to demonstrate continued support

Required Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years of project management or design experience in a technology-oriented services field or similar
  • Ability to project manage or design a variety of simultaneous projects
  • Ability to effectively handle competing priorities with ease
  • Ability to lead a team of professionals to achieve common goals
  • Good knowledge of AV / IT / Security design and or integration disciplines
  • Good understanding of design best practices and goals within the mentioned disciplines
  • Solid understanding of typical construction process for commercial and residential facilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills that foster a team environment
  • Ability to problem solve independently with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Be detail oriented and organized while being able to multitask and shift priorities with ease
  • Working knowledge of various Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Good knowledge of Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam
  • Must be able to take direction and perform efficiently

Desired Qualifications

  • Infocomm – CTS/ CTS-D / CTS-I certification(s)
  • PMI – PMP certification
  • BICSI – RCDD / RTPM / DCDC certification(s)
  • Direct experience with AV / IT / Security technologies
  • Experience with IT and / or Security system design / integration
  • Manufacturer or industry related training and certifications within the AV / IT / Security field
  • Experience with indoor / outdoor digital signage technologies
  • Any acoustics background or sound masking experience
  • Any technology consulting experience
