In 2014, the new WTC transportation hub will provide lower Manhattan with improved transit connections throughout the region. Designed to accommodate 250,000 commuters per day, design for the new hub will include two concourse levels, a public waiting area, and 200,000 square feet of first-class retail.
The full service facility will include three platforms and five tracks for PATH access and link 13 subway lines. Additionally, the project includes underground pedestrian connections with will allow access to the 5 WTC office towers, the memorial and museum, the Hudson River ferry, and the World Financial Center.
Cerami is currently providing acoustical consulting services for all portions of the project including mitigation of track noise, interior acoustics for the concourse levels.
