The 7 story Hunstman Hall academic building was designed to house both undergraduate and graduate programs. To accommodate the different needs of both groups, KPF’s design included flexible and tiered classrooms, lecture halls, group study rooms, research labs, a 300-seat auditorium, cafe, and faculty and administrative support space which included private offices and conference rooms. The building also incorporated a large atrium.
Cerami & Associates provided architectural and mechanical acoustics to ensure natural speech projection classrooms and ensure acoustical separation between adjacent spaces. We also worked closely with the AV consultant to ensure that architectural designs conformed to the AV criteria.
