The New Academic Building at the School of Public Health, State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn is being developed as a state-of-the-art center for learning, meeting and collaboration, for use by SUNY students, faculty, the public, visiting dignitaries, and members of the wider academic community. The facility will contain research lab centers which will group researchers with similar interests and goals, healthcare simulation centers, research center laboratories, and academic spaces for both the School of Public Health and the School of Medicine together in one shared facility.

An important element of such a space will be the design of technology systems and the overall acoustical environment which will enable students, conference participants, and noted presenters to maximize their ability to communicate. Our system design is intended to accommodate multiple program requirements within each venue while allowing for a range of user levels including inexperienced or first time users.
