Cerami & Associates provided acoustical consulting for Nestle Waters’ Headquarters relocation. The project involves open office spaces, a 100-seat auditorium, a 2,000 sf Town Hall, conference, video conference, and telepresence rooms, marketing gallery, and a cafeteria.
Our acoustics team began by surveying the current conditions at the Stamford location to establish benchmark noise levels and assess current building layout and interior materials use. We then made recommendations for partition constructions in the conference rooms, executive offices, quiet rooms, mechanical rooms, and for mullions as well as specified glass partitions throughout the building and surface finishes in the typical conference rooms, breakout area, and town center for increased speech intelligibility. In the auditorium we recommended a step-up raised floor to minimize deflection or “wobbling” under load, ACT above the seating area, and a sloped gypsum ceiling above the stage to assist in speech intelligibility from the speaker to the rear of the room.
