Cerami worked closely with HLR staff on the renovation of their Headquarters TV studio to determine the best way to meet their needs as end-users. AV systems were designed with the goal of providing enhanced reliability, user-friendliness, and cost-effectiveness. Our approach throughout the entire process was to allow ultimate control, either from within the control room or from anywhere with a network connection. We also designed various new layouts for the space, working closely with HLR to decide upon the most practical. The flexible matrix design, which was ultimately decided upon, would allow room reconfiguration changes within minutes.
Our acoustical team worked to compliment the audiovisual systems by creating the appropriate studio space environment. The acoustical isolation in the existing space was below recommended STC so we provided specific door constructions and seals to remedy the problem. Gypsum constructions, lay-in ceiling and carpet and tile flooring were also specified, in addition to an insulated glass sliding door to separate the studio from the control room. Fabric covered wall panels were also added.
