Cerami & Associates provided acoustical and audiovisual consulting and design for Burlington County College’s “Entertainment Technology,” an upgrade to their facility for the new audio engineering department.

Our AV team assessed the existing equipment to determine re-use ability and designed upgraded systems to accommodate the new curriculum. The hands-on classrooms were outfitted with Pro Tools workstations, Solid State Logic digital mixing consoles, hard disc multi-track recording, special effects, and processing equipment. Small recording suites were equipped Pro Tools workstations and small mixing console. Our system infrastructure design allows for digital and analog audio transmission between rooms, equipment, and other locations.

For the broadcast area, we designed the digital television control and video editing suites with studio-quality digital video cameras, connector panels, video switching and special effects equipment, video monitoring, digital recording, routing, and terminal equipment. Our design for the adjacent audio production studio included wired and wireless microphones, and mixing, processing, effects, playback, and recording equipment. We made recommendations for the control room console, intercom and teleprompter systems, and designed a sound system for the Theater at the Pemberton campus that incorporates loudspeaker arrays, microphones, a versatile “house” mixing position, and recording, playback, effects and processing.

We also provided acoustical consulting for this project. In the studios we specified a floating floor construction and acoustical finishes including wall panels and doors to ensure complete isolation from sound transmission.
