Pharmaceutical / Projects

Barr Pharmaceuticals’ new facilities included open and closed plan offices, divisible training rooms, a sales/marketing room, conference rooms, a boardroom and a paging system.

Cerami’s team of acoustical consultants surveyed existing conditions and made specifications to ensure that appropriate noise levels and standards of privacy were met throughout. The emergency generator, cooling tower and rooftop units needed specific treatments, including enclosures, duct silencers and spring isolators to mitgate excessive noise transmission to the employees and neighboring residences.

Cerami’s team of audiovisual consultants specified computer and video equipment in the divisible training rooms that could be combined as needed, audio/video presentation and conference capabilities in the sales/marketing room which also functions as an interactive classroom, and a paging system.

Our IT team was responsible for the design, specification, and implementation management of the entire infrastructure for both IT and security. Telco Services entry design and carrier coordination, main and satellite equipment room racks and cabinet layout, MEP coordination and inter-room connectivity, voice and data backbone, both copper and fiber, pathways, conduits, and cable trays, and the horizontal category 6 connectivity, outlet and termination hardware were specified. We introduced new surveillance cameras, a digital monitoring system in the lab to screen all activities, an intrusion detection system, and alarm notification devices.
