Designed by some of the best architectural talent in the world, the World Trade Center site development will include 6 new towers with over 12 million square feet of class ‘A’ office space, along with the National September 11th Memorial & Museum and a new Transportation Hub. All projects are incorporating advanced sustainable design practices, with the primary goal being “to create a grand urban center for the 21st Century.”
In addition to offices, the new towers will also include world-class restaurants, a performing arts center, and broadcast facilities. Additional below-grade coordination includes the development of a retail complex, extensive underground connections, parking facilities, and additional building services. Tower 1, standing at 1,776 feet tall, will also include an observation deck.
As part of our base building services, we are working to ensure appropriate sound separation between floors, ensuring minimal noise and vibration impact to the tenant spaces from the buildings mechanical systems. Our work for the Transportation Hub includes vibration assessments and paging system design and analysis. For the Memorial, we are currently providing core and shell services including review of mechanical systems and establishing acoustical criteria for interior spaces.
