As part of the rebuilding of 7 World Trade Center, Cerami & Associates, provided acoustical and technology design for the fit-out of Moody’s Investor Services, which encompasses 15 floors and includes open plan and private offices, a conference center with rooms ranging from 4-6 persons to up to 26 persons, boardrooms, a divisible multipurpose room, a divisible training room, and a data center.

The Boardroom and medium to large conference rooms feature IP-based videoconferencing with rear projection systems, while the smaller conference rooms include LCD displays with strategically placed wall-mounted speakers and tabletop audio conferencing capabilities. As the conference center had tight space constraints, it posed a unique challenge for noise control of the mechanical equipment to ensure the low noise levels desired were met.

Moody’s conducts “Town Hall Meetings” from its cafeteria, so we designed dedicated fiber optic connections to stream messages from the cafeteria to employees facility-wide.

The IT Infrastructure which included Category-6 horizontal UTP cable plant, voice and data backbone including inter MDF-IDF connectivity, and wireless connectivity. We also developed redundant carrier services pathways from the building’s point of entry locations, up through diverse routes and into the new Data Center from opposite directions.
