Cerami is providing acoustical and audiovisual design for The George W. Bush Presidential Library which will occupy roughly 25 acres at Southern Methodist University. The development includes the Presidential Center and Library as well as offices for the George W. Bush Policy Institute and the George W. Bush Foundation.

The facility includes Exhibit Spaces, Conference Center with Meeting Rooms, Classrooms, and a 350+ seat Auditorium. The Museum also encompasses unique, specialty spaces including a mock-up of the Oval Office, a Presidential Suite & Seminar Room, Orientation Theatre, Museum Shop, Restaurant / Dining Area, Ceremonial Garden and Hall, and Lobby.

The project is registered for LEED Platinum certification. Aggressive sustainability goals, together with strict requirements set forth by the National Archives, require that new materials and options be identified to address traditional mechanical noise control challenges.

  • Acoustic modeling of a multi-media display enabled the design team and owner to evaluate the impact of various surface finishes on speech intelligibility.
  • The audiovisual design for the Auditorium includes full broadcast capability and is flexible to accommodate a variety of events including press conferences, lectures and seminars.
