Cerami is provided base building acoustical services for Phase I of the 1.6 million sf Constitution Square development project which includes two speculative office buildings (one at 589,000 sf and one at 345,000 sf) with 12 stories above grade and three levels of below-grade parking.
Expected to be leased by government agencies, the office buildings were built to standard SFO requirements. One Constitution Square has been leased to the General Services Administration (GSA) and Two Constitution Square has since been leased by the United States Department of Justice (DOJ).
The mixed-use development also includes condominium and rental residential portions, and 80,000 sf of retail, garage and support space including a 50,000 sf grocery store.
The development has achieved LEED-Gold for Neighborhood Development making it the first mixed-use commercial project in DC, and the largest development in the country, to be certified by the USGBC under this new category. In addition, both office buildings are registered with the goal of achieving LEED-Gold certification.
