Ann Taylor’s 300,000 square foot headquarters space at 7 Times Square, which houses both their Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor Loft brands, includes eight floors of office space that utilize a mostly open plan environment to encourage collaboration between their merchandising, retail marketing, and support staff.

The Creative Rooms serve as large presentation spaces, or can be divided into up to four rooms, and thus required flexible audiovisual systems with easy mobility to accommodate the various room configurations. Our infrastructure included both hard-wired display and speaker systems, along with connectivity for portable equipment including laptop computers, speakers, projectors, audio conferencing units, and microphones. Our acoustics team closely reviewed the divisible wall selections and construction to ensure optimal sound separation and privacy between the spaces when in use.

For the executive spaces including the Boardroom and conference rooms, we provided similar technology fit-out including display systems with companion loudspeakers, media and laptop connectivity, and integrated touch panel control systems. For the Boardroom, we also incorporated two integrated pan/tilt cameras and built-in microphones on the table for conference pick-up and voice lift.

To ensure optimal acoustic conditions in the open office areas, our team designed a sound masking system to add an additional level of comfort and privacy for the staff who had been used to a closed office environment.
