Three White Flint North is a new 14-story office tower that is part of the 32-acre North Bethesda Center mixed-use development. Cerami is providing acoustical consulting for both the base building and interiors, and audiovisual services for the tenant fit-out. Originally designed as a speculative office building it was built to meet SFO standards as there was the potential it would be leased by a government agency. As part of our services, we reviewed the base building HVAC systems and upper floor mechanical systems to guarantee that the noise from these systems would not disturb the tenants. Additionally, we reviewed exterior mechanical equipment to ensure noise generated was within local noise codes.

The fit-out of the building which has been leased by the National Regulatory Commission, will accommodate 1,300 employees. Acoustical considerations include speech privacy and sound isolation for private offices and conference rooms, and ensuring appropriate background noise levels for office floors. Our audiovisual team is providing system design for conference, meeting and training rooms as well as a PA system.

To be completed in summer 2012, the project is also being designed to meet LEED-Silver certification standards.
